Steve’s Sports Bet of the Week – Multibet 4 February 2012

This weeks sports bet has taken on a football flavour again with the completion of the tennis and not much else worth betting on until the NRL, AFL and Super Rugby kick off. We’ve gone for 10 legs in this multibet and total odds of $84.42.

We’ve taken legs in the English Premier League, Spanish La Liga, Bundesliga, French Ligue 1, Italian Serie A and the Eredivisie and Eerste Divisie in the Netherlands.

English Premier League

To kick things off, we’ve taken 3 matches from the English Premier League in this weeks sports bet. First up tonight, Arsenal v Blackburn Rovers, we’ve gone for the over 2.5 option as Arsenal’s defence has not been too crash hot of late. To add to that they tend to score freely at home, so this should be a safe option. We’ve gone the both teams to score option in both the Chelsea v Manchester United and Liverpool v Tottenham matches. These top of the table clashes are rarely won to nil so we think this is also a pretty good bet.

Spanish La Liga

In the Spanish La Liga, we’ve taken two matches. Barcelona v Real Sociedad we’ve taken the over 2.5 goals option as Barcelona score goals at home for fun. The other match we’ve gone the opposite way, Levante v Santander at under 2.5 goals as these two sides seem afraid of the back of the net.

Bundesliga

In the Bundesliga we’ve taken Bayern Munich to win outright as they are in great form and away from home you can actually get a decent price on them.

French Ligue 1

In Ligue 1 we’ve gone for the Bordeaux v Toulouse game to not produce many goals and have opted for the under 2.5 goals option.

Italian Serie A

In the Italian League, two of the heavyweights do battle as AC Milan and Napoli go head to head. We think this could be a high scoring match so the over 2.5 option at $1.95 seemed too good to pass up.

Dutch Leagues

Last up we head to the Dutch leagues with a leg in both the Eredivise and Eerste Divisie. We’ve gone for the over 2.5 option in both the Ajax v Utrecht, Eredivise, and Cambuur v FC Dordrecht in the Eerste Divisie.

So there you have it, our sports bet of the week! If you want to cover yourself be sure to take each leg on their own as well, these multibet’s tend to fall over by just a leg or too which can be quite demoralising!
