Sports Bet of the Week – Steve’s Sportingbet Multibet

Last week our sports bet went up in flames thanks to Tottenham and Chelsea’s aversion to scoring goals. Also the matches between Rayo Vallecano and Granada and Ajaccio v Auxerre unexpectedly exceeded 2.5 goals. We ended up with 6 from 11 which was a pretty poor result to be honest.

This week’s sports bet we’ve gone with just 8 legs with total odds of $28.10. We’ve incorporated a mixture of our usual football tips into the sports bet, as well as going with the season and throwing in some Australian Open legs. On top of that we’ve also included a match from the KFC Big Bash Semi Finals to give it some more local flavour.

For the 3rd round of the Australian Open, we’ve taken Maria Sharapova and Gael Monfis to win their matches in straight sets tomorrow.

In the soccer, we’ve taken a mixture of Dutch Football, English Premier League, Italian Serie A and Spanish Primera Liga to make up the other 5 legs.

For the Dutch League, we’ve taken a match from both the Eredivise and the Eerste Divisie (2nd Div.), both matches we’ve taken over 2.5 goals. Last week we were let down by the Eerste Divisie with almost half of the matches going under 2.5 goals for the first time I can remember. This week we’re banking on that anomaly being just that.

For the English Premier League, we’ve also gone the over 2.5 option in the Norwich v Chelsea match. Matches involving both Norwich and Chelsea average over 3 goals per game so far this season so we should be pretty safe on this one.

In the Italian Serie A, we’ve taken the under 2.5 goals option in the Cagliari v Fiorentina match. Both sides sit mid-table and have the joint lowest for and against goals record in the league with less than 2 goals scored per match.

Last up in our sports bet we’ve taken the Real Madrid v Athletic Bilbao match to go over 2.5 goals. Real Madrid are on fire at home with 34 goals in 8 matches and I expect that form to continue.

So there you have it, check out the sports bet below and let us know if you agree of disagree with any of the legs. If you have any bets of your own, be sure to let us know in the comments section also.

Sports Bet of the Week – Steve’s Football Multibet

Sportingbet Sports Bet of the Week

In this weeks sports bet we finally welcome back most of the European football leagues. We now don’t have to rely as heavily on any particular league which gives us good variety for our sports bet.

This week we’ve gone for a mixture of English Premier League, French Ligue 1, Spanish La Liga and Italian Serie A. For the English Premier League we’ve gone for under 3.5 goals in the Liverpool v Stoke game. We’ve gone over 2.5 for both the Chelsea v Sunderland and Tottenham v Wolves matches.

In the Spanish La Liga we’ve gone for a mixture of unders and outrights. Real Madrid away and Athletico Madrid at home we’ve gone for the outright wins. We’ve gone for under 2.5 in both the Granada v Rayo Vallecano and Zaragoza v Getafe matches.

In the French league we’ve taken two unders as this league has a tendency to produce low scoring matches. Ajaccio v Auxerre and Brest v Nice we’ve gone for the under 2.5 goals option.

Last up and we thought a return to the Serie A would give us some added variety. Cesena v Novara we’ve gone for the under 2.5 option as both sides seenu to be a bit goal shy this season. In the big one, AC Milan v Inter Milan, we’ve given AC Milan a 0.5 handicap in the hope that they keep their unbeaten home record in tact.

So there you have it, our sports bet of the week for the European and British football leagues. The total odds for the sports bet are $83.47 and we also suggest taking each of the legs separately. Or, lowering the odds for the overs and unders by decreasing the total goals and covering the possibility of any anomalies.

Let us know what you think of this sports bet, or if you have any multibets of your own feel free to share them below.

Good luck and happy punting!

Steve’s Sports Bet of the Week – FA Cup Special

Steve’s Sports Bet of the Week

This week our Sportingbet Sports Bet takes on a cup flavour with Round 3 of the FA Cup in action and the Premier League having a well earned break. We also welcome back a couple of the European leagues after a winter hiatus so we finally have a bit of variety to ensure we get some good value in this weeks sports bet!

This week our sports bet incorporates 12 legs and a payout of $78.85 for a $1 investment. We’ve taken 7 legs of the sports bet in the FA Cup, 2 from the Serie A and the remaining 3 legs from La Liga following their return from the winter break.

For the FA Cup we’ve taken a mixture of heavyweights against minnows and also some lower league clashes for the 7 legs. Arsenal v Leeds last year was a low scoring affair so the over 2.5 was too risky, I think Arsenal will be too strong for Leeds this year and with the possible return of Thierry Henry and a home match this should be as good as a sure thing. Liverpool and Everton should also have fairly easy matches so we’ve also gone outrights in these 2 matches for the sports bet. Wolves should have too much for a now Championship Birmingham side but to cover the possibility of a draw we’ve given Wolves a +0.5 handicap. Swansea away from home at Barnsley shouldn’t produce too many goals so under 3.5 should cover that one. In our final FA Cup leg, Aston Villa travel to Bristol and I can see there being a  few goals here, hence the over 2.5 option for this leg of the sports bet.

In the Italian league, Udinese and Cesena have had the most amount of under 2.5 games this season in the Serie A, so we thought the under 2.5 option for their clash would be fitting. Similarly, the Cagliari v Genoa leg has also been selected for their fear of scoring goals with the under 2.5 option.

The sports bet rounds out with 3 matches from La Liga, with Barcelona and Real Madrid both in action, the over 2.5 option for both matches was too good to turn down based on their form of late. The final leg of the sports bet sees Villareal and Valencia going head to head, this will be a low scoring match and we’ve gone for the under 2.5 option in this one.

Check out this week’s sports bet and let us know if you have any multibet’s of your own for this weekend.

Good luck and happy punting!

It’s that time again, time to try and take the bookie’s money. Last week we managed to get 8 from 11 on the multibet, we were let down 3 out of 4 games on the Monday morning and all we needed was literally 1 more goal in each of the games and we would have had a massive payout.

This week I’ve gone along the same lines, mainly going for the overs and unders while also going for a couple of outrights just to break things up. This week I’ve split the legs more evenly over the British and European football leagues so we have less reliance on any particular league.

The payout is half as much as last weeks with odds of $47.36 but this is due to there being less risks taken overall.

Hit us up in the comments section if you have any multibet’s that you think are a chance this weekend, or just any general comments on the multibet we have put up this week.

Good luck and happy punting!
