    Mooroolbark Football Club is a local club located in Mooroolbark Victoria. Founded since 1966, the Mooroolbark Football Club has a strong active member with both boys and girls juniors and seniors teams running.

    CLUB MILESTONES/HISTORY                                                                                                               

    GUERNSEYS & NICKNAMES:

    1966 – Mooroolbark were known as the Falcons, and wore green and gold striped guernseys.

    2001 – Mooroolbark were known as the Mustangs, and wore green and gold striped guernseys.

    2003 – Mooroolbark were known as the Mustangs, and wore green guernseys with gold flashes.

    2011 – The “away” strip was introduced, predominately a black background guernsey with the green and gold flashes and Mustang on the front.

    1966 – Mooroolbark FC was founded.

    1967 – Mooroolbark participated.

    1968 – Division 3 – Mooroolbark finished 3rd.

    1969-75 – Mooroolbark participated.

    1976 – Division 3 Grand Final – Bennettswood 15.14.104 defeated Mooroolbark 8.7.55.

    1977-79 – Mooroolbark participated.

    1980 – Division 3 Grand Final – Rowville 19.16.130 defeated Mooroolbark 12.12.84.

    1981 – Mooroolbark participated.

    1982 – Division 2 Grand Final – Bayswater 14.14.98 defeated Mooroolbark 11.7.73.

    1983-86 – Mooroolbark participated.

    1987 – Division 3 Grand Final – Ferntree Gully defeated Mooroolbark

    1988 – Division 3 Grand Final – Mooroolbark 9.6.60 defeated The Basin 8.6.54.

    1989 – Mooroolbark participated.

    1990 – Division 2 Grand Final – Doncaster 17.11.113 defeated Mooroolbark 10.9.69.

    1991-94 – Mooroolbark participated.

    1995-96 – Division 2 – Mooroolbark participated.

    1997 – Division 2 Grand Final – Croydon 14.14.98 defeated Mooroolbark 8.5.53.

    1998-99 – Division 2 – Mooroolbark participated.

    2000-2003 – Division 3 – Mooroolbark participated.

    2005-07 – Division 3 – Mooroolbark participated.

    2007 – U/18’s won the flag.

    2008 – Mooroolbark Seniors play Waverley Blues in Grand Final and lose by two points in a heart stopper.

    2009 – Mooroolbark Seniors defeat Upper Ferntree Gully in the Grand Final and win promotion to second division.

    2010 – Mooroolbark consolidate their position in second division despite a severe run of injuries.

    2011 – Division 2 participated finishing fifth

    2012 – Division 2 Preliminary Final – Rowville defeat Mooroolbark

    2013 – Division 2 Grand Final – Montrose 14.14.98 defeat Mooroolbark 10.10.70

    2014 – Division 2 participated finishing fifth

    2015 – Division 2 participated finishing seventh

    2015 – Division 2 U19’s win the flag in an undefeated season

    2016 – Division 2 Preliminary Final – Wantirna South defeat Mooroolbark

    2017 – Club celebrated its 50th anniversary and announced a “Team of the Half Century”. Click HERE to view the team.

    2017 – Division 2 Preliminary Final – Doncaster East defeat Mooroolbark

    2018 – Heath Black appointed as Senior Coach

    2018 – Division 2 Reserves premiership win, defeating Bayswater

    2019 – Bret Lavars appointed as Senior Coach
